AH- Questions on Animatic

What is the purpose of this task? Go through the process in detail.

• The purpose of this task is to film our story board in order to create an animatic
• This allows us to see what shots we are going to use within our production
• To do this we had to film each of the clips on the storyboard individually, then put the footage onto premier elements. After this we cut the clips down and put them into chronological order so that we know exactly what we are going to film.
• We also incorperated sound over the top of it to show that the opening will create tension throughout
• This is very helpful as it allows us to know exactly what we need to film in terms of the narrative, also what atmosphere is building through out

What have you learnt?

• First of all i've learnt about the significance and relevance of the animatic in terms of producing a film opening
• How to plan our various shot techniques, as well as consider what shots we may use in between our planned ones
• The significance of how the subject is placed within a shot, as well as what is in it to make sure it doesnt complicate the film or there's any unrelevent information included.
