Group 10 - Treatment

The following is our treatment for our production, listing the narrative as well as various shots to be used

• The scene opens with a panning shot of the Serial Killers room, the pan shows all the dead girls photos, all the killing instruments, then finally the last thing we see is the killer, sitting on a chair in a white lab coat, who looks up at the camera and smiles. 
• This is faded out as the sound of news reports all speaking over the top of each other.
• The next scene is the police finding out about the 6th murder and establishing that there is a serial killer to be hunted.
• There is the a cut to a high street where a girl is walking along the road, the serial killer then drags the girl off down and alley where she is brutally murdered in the same way as the past 6 girls.
• There is a shot of traffic moving very quickly and is blurred  the blue lights of the police car stand out from the crowd.
• The police arrive at the murder scene and find the body, the 3 policemen go to their different homes.
• One of the policeman cannot sleep and works out where the Serial Killer is in hiding, he then phones  the other policeman.
• The three policeman turn up to the location of the serial killer, where he is standing in the top window looking out at the the policemen and laughing.
• The policemen enter then house, where there is a loud bang from upstairs, the policemen then sprint upstairs to try and catch the killer.
• The break into the room, to find the window open and the killer running through a field in to the distance.
• There is then a fast black out and the music ends sharply, where the name of the film title comes up and the film would then continue.
• Throughout the opening there will be a soundtrack that starts subtly and builds up to a loud drum beat which is fast paced.
• The titles will be written in by smoke coming across the screen and leading in the the words themselves, they will be positioned at the top and bottom of the screen alternating after every one.
